Our story

Made slowly, by hand, to be worn for years.

Every kurti we make connects two people: the woman who wears it, and the artisan whose hands printed and stitched it. We try to do right by both.

Inside the Sanyogini craft

Every print begins with a carved block

Sanyogini began with a love for the kurtis our mothers wore: soft cotton, honest colours, prints you could trace back to a craftsman's hand.

Today our artisans in Jaipur and Lucknow still carve, print, dye and embroider every piece by hand, in small batches. No two are ever exactly alike, and that's the point.

The craft

Three things we never rush

01

Hand block printing

Each motif is carved into a block of sheesham wood, then pressed onto the cloth by hand, colour by colour, row by row.

02

Chikankari

Fine white-on-white embroidery from Lucknow, stitched by hand over many days. Every shadow stitch is someone's patience.

03

Small batches

We make a little at a time, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing goes to waste. When a print sells out, it's often gone.
